Effort to transform Mayur Vihar into satellite town with a m

DLF effort to make Mayur Vihar, East Delhi into a satellite town in league of Gurgaon and Noida by a mall ‘DLF Galleria’ .The mall area comprise of near about 1.5 lakh sq.ft with a retail arcade, hypermarket and eating joints .It has ground floor with two additional floors and anchor stores like Sabka Bazar and THS. The best part is it that it is located on excellent location - just 30 kms from Airport (both domestic and international) and is well connected due to easy availability of transport .It has a parking space for around 500 cars and the traffic movement is well controlled through the installation of Escalators and Elevators in the mall. The mall is strongly positioned to tap emergent market of East Delhi .The immediate target market for this retail shopping would be primarily people at Mayur Vihar ,Pandav Nagar ,Patparganj,Mayur Vihar and adjoining areas . In addition to this, the upcoming village complex in the vicinity will confer the benefit of rapid development in terms of infrastructure and make Mayur Vihar finally a SATELLITE TOWN.

The person reviewing is a DLF employee or the owners. The mall was supposed to have been ready in September 2008. To date it does not have a single occupant! The mall lacks any access except through the Start City Mall or the adjacent hotel under construction. This is seen as one of DLF big fiascoes in the past two years. Those who purchased space in the mall are still running after DLF to resolve the situation of getting the mall operational! With the commonwealth games approaching it would behoove DLF to take charge and bring this mall to life!
